The lovely Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) has many sighting records in Hong Kong according to iNaturalist...

Normally uncommon, but definitely regular enough that local birders expect them each winter. But they are also being seen in Central around April, probably hunting pigeons....
My pics are from the cliffs of Bristol in the UK.

It is the fastest animal on Earth....During a hunting dive (“stoop”), peregrines can exceed 320 km/h (200 mph) —
Rather than always grabbing prey directly, peregrines often strike birds mid-air with their feet at high speed, stunning or killing them instantly.
Their prey in Hong Kong would likely include shorebirds, pigeons, starlings, and ducks.
Peregrine populations crashed in the mid-20th century because of the pesticide DDT, which caused eggshell thinning. After bans on DDT and conservation efforts, they made one of the most famous bird recoveries in history. DDT controversy played a major role in that recovery story.
