Now, here is a little cutie, super tiny, and it is an Acromantis japonica, with its common name being a Japanese boxer mantis.

and yes, it is a species of praying mantis which can be found in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and China. It was first described by John Obadiah Westwood in 1889.

this fern leaf should give you an idea of scale, it really is tiny, and this is a full grown adult, not a nymph.
