Here is the lovely oriental garden lizard, bloodsucker or more likely in Hong Kong to be known as the changeable lizard (Calotes versicolor), which is an agamid lizard found across Hong Kong. I have written quite a bit about this lizard, but want to show here the juvenile, the female and male for comparison.
Here a juvenile, shows off his long tail and lighter colouration.
And below we have a female, sunning herself in Lions Nature Centre in SaiKung. Note, the lighter colouration, smaller crest, and less stocky body, compared to the male.
Below, a male showing this breeding colours, although they can go much darker red when showing off to a female, or establishing territory with other males.
