The number of bird species found in Hong Kong is really quite staggering - probably one of the top places in the world for Avian diversity, and much of this is due to the migrating birds.

The Eurasian Hoopoe is one such amazing occasional visitor, pictured here in Victoria Park - yes, in Causeway Bay - just two weeks ago, during the last week of February.

Chris Kwok, a great local bird photographer took this amazing image of this super bird, in full display, right in the middle of our metropolis.
