A tiny amphibian with a big name

This is the Square Eyed Brown Leaf Litter Toad Or Krain Metacarpal-tubercled Toad Or Leptolalax pelodytoides pelodytoides

This tiny toad was not recorded until 1979 because it croaks like a cricket. True toads lay their eggs in water, but this chappy lays eggs in damp places under stones. A tiny animal, not exceeding 3-5cm from snout to vent

A good way to find frogs at night is to hold your flashlight on a level with your eyes...or use a headtorch. This way the light reflects back to your own eyes, and enables you to find many more frogs, as well as spiders, moths and other insects.
