apologies for a lack of a post for a few days, er a week.... My excuse is that I have been super busy in the UK, Hong Kong, and then up in the mountains of a national park in Thailand. so i hope to have some great photos to share over the coming weeks, from HK and Thailand in particular. Here is one to kick off, the wonderful cobalt blue tarantula from Kaeng Krachan national park.

The cobalt blue tarantula or Cyriopagopus lividus is a species of tarantula which is in the family Theraphosidae which is native to Myanmar and over the border into Thailand. It was originally described as Haplopelma lividum.
