While I was watching the storks, one of them ambled off towards a duck, who did not move. I am not sure if it was injured, sick, or stuck, but the stork proceeded to touch it gently, a mere peck, and the duck responded, but seemingly not with alarm.
There was no aggressive stabbing of its prey, and at one point the stork lifted the head of the duck as below. It did not seem to want to kill it, or try and tear it apart and eat it...so I am quite bemused by this behaviour.
