A peacock in Hong Kong? Well, it is actually the Peacock Pansy butterfly, in all its glory.

Junonia almana, the peacock pansy, is a species of nymphalid butterfly, and is interesting as it changes its underside patterning in some locations depending on the season (wet or dry).
