There a quite a few of these large Cockchafer beetles around at the moment.
I find them very attractive, and have seen them fly and land delicately on small flowers...quite un-beetle like in their flying skills, almost more like a large, heavy moth. However, like the June bugs and other large beetles, they do have a habit of flying right into my face on occasion.
