A parrot in England and Hong Kong

The next few days are given over to some pictures I hope you will like of an interesting, and very noisy, introduced (some say invasive) bird, that are now widespread far beyond their natural range.... These pictures were taken in Bushy park, near London, but these birds also live in Kowloon park in Hong Kong, and it is of course: The rose-ringed parakeet (Psittacula krameri), also known as the ringneck parrot, or the Kramer parrot.


In February they eat the juice out of the back of the cherry tree flowers, as below and then you can see it in the next pic it drops them, in their thousands on the ground. Look for more images and more information over the next few days......
