Yes, Hong Kong still does have tigers - tho the last mammal was shot decades ago, after killing two policeman who had been sent to arrest it. You cannot make this stuff up!
This is the Golden spotted Tiger beetle, often seen skipping ahead on paths.
Its useful to know, that if you seem them flying off into the shrubs, and leaving the path (not when you have disturbed them), then it seems to be a sure indicator of rain!
