We are so lucky in Hong Kong to have such a wide variety of birds. Some are residents, and some, like this pretty little fella, are Winter visitors.
This is The striated yuhina (Yuhina castaniceps), which is a bird species in the white-eye family Zosteropidae. They often travel in small groups, and this one was shot on the 13th February at Kadoorie Farm. They only normally come to Hong Kong for the few months between December and February, so you are unlikely to see any now, but look for them next year. Although, they have another distinction, which is some years they are abundant, and the next you may not see any at all.
