What are you doing the 13-14th November?

What are you doing the 13-14th November? Well, cancel it, as there is a great fun event coming up at probably my fave place in HK (disclaimer, I have done some paid work for Kadoorie Farm in the past, but I do not think that that accounts for my bias).....The event promises to be a weekend of fun-raising and fundraising to benefit nature conservation. Participants can look forward to the beauty of KFBG, learn about conservation and reconnect with nature. What more could you want from a day out in Hong Kong?

oh, did i mention, there will be a photo competition on Facebook for participants to upload photos of their experience in the Hikeathon and Treasure Hunt? Now a message from the great team there: We are pleased to announce our first ever charity Hikeathon and Treasure Hunt event at Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden.

On Saturday, November 13 is the Hikeathon. With multiple starts between 8:30am to 11:30am, this is a 8km scenic walk around the Farm, passing by the iconic Kwun Yum Shan and the Kadoorie Brothers’ Memorial Pavilion. Checkpoints along the way let participants appreciate the beauty of plants and animals, plus enjoy stunning views of the New Territories. Try out the Farm’s famous roselle tea on the way up Kwun Yum Shan. All participants will receive a crafted souvenir made from the Farm’s fell trees, each uniquely different.

On Sunday November 14, the Treasure Hunt takes place at our Lower Farm area. Find checkpoints and complete a simple and fun task at each of them! The more checkpoints you visit, the more points you gain, and redeem points for organic farm produce. Perfect for young families and company teams. All participants will also receive a souvenir made from a KFBG tree.

On both days, participants can visit the Nature Bazaar afterwards, featuring farm produce, nature activities such as handicraft, guided visits to our eco-garden, plant sales, adventure tree climbing and more.

Furthermore, there will be a photo competition on Facebook for participants to upload photos of their experience in the Hikeathon and Treasure Hunt.

For more information and registration see the details on the poster above, and/or visit their website. See you there.
