I was lucky enough to witness the release of 4 of the many releases of Water voles into the River Wey in Farnham, close to where I live. I understand that they have been absent for c.20 years due to mink and other predation, but hopes are that this little mammal should now thrive and prosper. after a 20-year absence from the area.
Here are some of the shots i managed to get....and thank you to the National Trust for their great work for nature in the UK.
