There's gold in them there....er, parks...., well gold dust weevils anyways.

I had to look this up: its not a XXX . Its proper name is an aedeagus (plural aedeagi), which is clearly much more kid friendly. The aedaegus is the reproductive organ of male arthropods through which they secrete sperm from the testes during copulation with a female. OK, kids, now go ask your mum or dad what that means.....




My fave Master and Commander quote, which is appropriate looking at the photo above, "which is the lesser of the two weevils?"....groan.




Also, as i'm having an interesting discussion with some people about the merits of flash vs ambient light. And also about how damn good cell phone cameras are these days!
