The Common Kingfisher

The Common Kingfisher Despite it's name, I do not see these very often, and then it is a delight to see their brilliant flash of blue, as they shoot down a river, or across a harbour. I have even seen them in very urban areas, like in parks and next to my house in SaiKung.

Here one is lucky with its catch.

One place where i often see them is in Mai Po, like this little cutie.
