I was intrigued by this spider, a Male Neoscona sp.

He looked tiny, and unrecognisable at first, with his body pulled vertical above him and his legs all curled up. It was only when he moved that I was able to see what kind of arthropod it was.

I have since been told that "many Araneidae exhibit this behaviour", as though I should have known this all along. Well, perhaps I should, but I did not. Soooooooo, sue me.
