Sparkle and spangle

The Spangle swallowtail butterfly (Papilio protenor).

These common large butterflies can be seen all year round. They are very similar to male Great Mormon, but this Spangle has more elongated hindwings, which are busy pollinating this hibiscus as you can see. A technically challenging shot, as taken in full sunlight from above, but a dark background, and needing a high shutter speed to stop the flapping of the wings.
