So this is the "other" type of bird-dropping spider we have in Hong Kong. I think....or taxonomy is so confusing, and I am not about to dissect its genetalia, which is the way that you can tell them apart....hmmmmmmm.
here is the one from yesterday for comparison.
They look different to me...and I think one is the lesser bird dropping spider, but this is not confirmed. Apparently the one above, the paler one, looks more like a toad. what do you think?
