Michael pointed these hoverflies out to me in his garden...
They look as tho i captured them midflight mating...but actually, they were not moving. If you look closely at the photo below you will see that the male is actually resting his forelegs on the end of the leaf.
This leaves his mate dangling in mid-air, and i am not sure how they got into this position. They did not seem to mind me in the least, and looking at the picture i had to laugh as the placement of this right foreleg foot...smack in the middle of her eye!
I am not sure i have seen this in the Kama Sutra......Kids, go and ask your parents what that book is all about.....
