Fishing

Following on from yesterday we are back with the white-throated kingfisher (Halcyon smyrnensis) also known as the white-breasted kingfisher, here starting his fishing run.

As he gets closer to the water the shoal of little fish he is targeting turn quickly, leaving ripples in the water.

He dips is beak, and grabs a small fish.

oooops, he seemed to have dropped that one.

Lets try again.....

Ahhh, got one that time...now back to the tree to eat it.

Here again you can see the ripples caused by the small fish he is fishing.
