European green woodpecker (Picus viridis),

The European green woodpecker (Picus viridis), which is found in the UK and not HK, sometimes in my garden, is also known as the yaffle and sometimes called a nickle.

A big bird, often noisy in flight, with a bright red crown and a black moustache. Males have a red centre to the moustache stripe which is absent in females.
