Following on from yesterday, here is the male of The BLUE CRESTED LIZARD
or the FOREST LIZARD (Calotes mystaceus)
Not a native agamid lizard, but since they imported a number of palm trees to the Disneyland resort they appear to have hitched a ride, and have set up localised breeding populations. Highly arboreal, I have often seen them on trees in Thailand, but not at all common in Hong Kong except in a specific location.
SEE THEM: Around Inspiration Lake at Disneyland Resort.
SPECIES ID: Bright blue head and throat really makes them unmistakable, especially given its highly localised population.
