Sending again, in case you missed it. A chance for WildCreatures subscribers to have first option on a nighttime snake safari in Hong Kong. Yay, at last some good news, and something to look forward to.
We are excited to announce the first ever Wild Creatures + Hong Kong Snakes collaboration for an exciting evening searching out and logging snakes (hopefully) and other fantastic wildlife. This is part of the iNaturalist City Nature Challenge.
William Sargent (snake catcher for HK Police/Founder HK Snakes Safari) and Robert Ferguson (founder of Wild Creatures/ wildlife photographer) will be leading a small tour as well as giving photographic advice using your phone at night. We will be running a “Citizen Science” programme and logging our finds on the iNaturalist App.
Date: Friday 24th April 2020. 7-10pm.
Meeting point: Near Kadoorie Farm (Shek Kong/NT). We will send public transport options/further details in your confirmation.
Safety: This activity is suitable for anyone who can comfortably hike (slowly) 2-3km on country park trails (including uphill), has a sense of adventure, and is above 8 years old. The group will be limited to c.10-12 people. All participants must download the iNaturalist app.
TO SIGN UP: Wildcreatures subscribers have first priority, places will be allocated on first-come-first served basis. Please send your name, number of persons, and one line of why you would like to participate to firstname.lastname@example.org. A full briefing will be given on the night.
