I know I was saying how good the TG5 is/was yesterday, but when you really want quality, then you need a bigger sensor, a good lens and maybe a little bit of off camera flash.

These are Bactorcera sp which is a genus of tephritid fruit flies.

compare the above two images shot with my canon 5D mkIII and 100mm lens, to the TG5 image below. As Sinead sang, "nothing compares...."

lastly, here is the whole fruit.....a type of cucumber.
