The Crimson Dropwing, Trithemis aurora, is also known as the Crimson Marsh Glider.

This lovely creature is a brilliantly-coloured member of the dragonfly family. The four wings give them complete mastery of flight, including the ability to hover and even to fly backwards.

The female is a completely different colour, her thorax is olivaceous with brown median and black lateral stripes. Olivaceous....ooooh, what a lovely word, for dull yellow.
