Lions in Hong Kong
I live in SaiKung, and many of my pictures of wildlife are taken at Lion's Nature Education Centre (Chinese: 獅子會自然教育中心). Besides the many dogs and weekend crowds its 84 acres of land are teeming with wild creatures.
Here a female Scarlet Minvet gets down to a lunch almost as big as herself!
I will write a bit more later about other aspects of this "Park" - like the insects and herps - but this post features some of the birds I found there over the last month.
Look into the low hanging branches and you are bound to see tiny birds foraging for insects.
Many birds roost in the Park, including this lovely blue magpie
Many of the birds are used to humans and carry on with their natural behaviour like hunting or washing, letting the photographer get quite close.
