Which image do you prefer....?

They are both of the same species of Lynx spider. The first was shot with a little Sony compact camera; the second with my high-end Canon body and lens. Both use an element of diffused flash.

If i want to blow it up to 3 feet wide, the canon image has much better resolution and has more data...but otherwise, can you really tell the difference?
