Just getting back from Texas, and learning about how many residents live with these wonderful wild Cougars. Most of the local wildlife problem seems to be more coyote and racoon related, but these big cats are still seen on occasion.
We went for some walks, and did not manage to find any....so a quick trip to a local animal rescue centre, and we had a good look at these lovely creatures.
Even if you cannot always find your wild animals near where you live, it can be great exercise to get to a zoo..and practise. these were taken with an old borrowed 70-300 Tamron 5.6, through some tight fences with sunlight on them, and i am quite pleased with the details and colours.
