I have only ever found one of these lovely grasshoppers to photograph in Hong Kong.
This is Erianthus dohrni, and i do not know any common name.
Erianthus is a genus of grasshopper, in the family Chorotypidae, restricted to Southeast Asia. They occur in northeast India, Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, South China including Hong Kong, and extend east to Sumatra. In the past some neotropical species were also included in the genus. They have narrow ranges and species are identifiable only by their characteristics of male and female genitalia...not that i really needed to look that closely.....but now you know.
